You may have heard that some colleges are now “test optional” which means they do not require SAT or ACT test scores as part of their college admission requirements. But that does not mean you’re off the hook and don’t have to take the tests. You still do. Your scores may not be included as part of the college’s admission criteria but scores will still be needed for placement in certain courses and, in some cases, for scholarship consideration.
Bottom line: register, prep, and take either the SAT or the ACT.
